Who's online
Ghostbusters, my childhood favoured film series is now finally been transformed into a game, yes Egon, Ray, Winston and heraldries Dr. Peter Venkman are back to kick some ghost ass again in there comical fashion (if they have asses). Starting the game you will find out that u will not be playing one of the original cast, no u play as a new recruit known as the rookie, you where hired to become there experimental equipment technician aka u will be testing the newest ghost kicking toys for the others (so u become there guinea pig to make shore they doesn’t explode).
The new weapons in the game are true amazing (in my eyes) one of them is a slime gun witch is featured in the second film (Ghostbusters 2), running around shooting slime at walls, ghost and your team mates is a world of fun. While playing it I did notices that team work is needed, the AI’s are ok, but human players are better. The game is four player co-o, but only online, offline is single player witch is fine will me, I personally prefer a full screen to myself then split screen (I’m very shellfish when it comes to gaming lol). The game was written by the original writes of the films and when you play the game you can really tell by seeing the same comical wit as the films. Not only was the same writes involved but the original cast from the films where reunited to do the voice in the game and there are rumours that because of this reunion there is talk of a possible another film in the future (really geeking out about it! Lol)
Over all I really did love this game, challenging, witty and fun, what more can u ask for really. I give this game 5 out of 5 thumps up (if I had a extra three thumps, lol).
End of JJ’sword!
Welcome To the Human Pick 'n' Mix - Prototype Reviewed
Submitted by Mikethelad on Mon, 07/06/2009 - 15:36
Alex Mercer, he broods, he's frowny, and he certainly won't be on anyone's Christmas Card list, in New York at least. He's wanted by the police, by scientists, and by mysterious wriggly things which want to chew his face off.
Despite this, Alex Mercer must be - without a shadow of a doubt, the happiest man on the face of the planet.
Let me begin by explaining why Prototype is one of the most well thought out pieces of game design in history, and how it will visibly influence the market for years to come.

That's right, in the same way that Metal Gear Solid put a stealth section in every game, and Gears of War put knee high dynamic cover in everything else - Prototype's patented 'Tentacle to the Face' move will be in pretty much every game made from now on, including the next Mario Party.
Do I exaggerate? Not quite, but Activision realised something when making this game. The best games are about wish fulfillment.
Games like Halo and Final Fantasy work because we really wish we were gruff cyborgs/angst ridden antiheroes, armed only with a selection of big manly guns/big choppy sword - and on a mission to save the universe/electricity bill
Activision therefore set about making a game that is almost completely about wish fulfillment, all the things that you've always subconsciously wanted to do - but never had the superpowers to achieve. Here are a few examples,
You can:
- Flying kick a helicopter out of the sky.
- Drop Kick a tank through the pavement.
- Use people as surfboards as you grind their faces to pulp on the road, then subsequently kick their friction burned body into their comrades.
- Pick anybody you don't like the look of off the street, retire to the rooftops and devour them in a gruesome manner.
My brain is a random fluctuation of neverending thoughts that lack any definate purpose; my friends may have noticed this sometimes when I talk. Imagine then, the things that I do not speak!

Relax, they aren't that bad - I deliberately say / do the worst things simply for comical value. In fact the stuff that swirls around in my head might as well dribble out of my left ear the're of so little value (apart from my primary motor functions and things like that). This is why they never get voiced or written here...
However a random question popped into my head the other day and I thought it should be shared with the interwebs. Before writing I checked online to see if it been done before ...
ARRRRGHHHH
How annoying, if you didn't get that - yes it has, it has been the subject of many a forum which has resulted in major flame wars and bannings.
All I'll simply say is that great minds think alike and all that, in fact this is a question you may have all asked yourself and I hope you have an answer and are able to defend it with good reason. So what is that question ...
Who'd win in a deathmatch to the death (lol); Master Chief or Marcus Fenix?
And so is born my Hero Deathmatch feature... Let us compare the two candidates
- Master Chief - A faceless cybernetically enhanced supersoldier; sounds pretty hardcore doesn't it? And it is! After all Master Chief has a fusion-powered suit of armor and an energy sheild to help him kick ass. Master Chief also has the ability to teabag fallen foes, jump and flip tanks - things that Fenix can only dream of doing.
What have you done with your life? Have you ever accomplished a dream you set out for yourself. This here is the story of one mans dream.
Katawa Shoujo
Starting all the way back in 2007 a design was posted on a Image board with one simple wish behind it. I want to date a disabled person. Not one for moral standards but mindful of the risk's of pursuing these goals in real life a team formed to help this man. We shall make it a visual novel a storybook game they said and cried together with joy long into the night..
On a more serious note after 2 years of hard work the team has something to show for it. A download able version of the latest work is available from their website here.
http://katawashoujo.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
The main character suffers from arrhythmia meaning he has a crazy heart and is at risk of heart attacks.
This in turn sends him to a special school where he meets and interacts with other people with disability's. Heres the image that sparked the entire thing off.

on that note it seems to have quite a few fans already and is drawing in a lot of fan art.
The designs have changed and the team behind it has grown.I may have more if i can get over the feeling of shame to download it.

NINJA BLADE is a typical beat'em up game similiar to much more popular Ninja Gaiden or God of War. The story in my opinion is pretty cool. You're a member of the special squad called G.U.I.D.E formed to fight an Alpha-worms: a unclassified species of hook worm wich rapidly multiplied, triggering uncontrollable bleeding and open sores but instead of killing the host they mutated him so much that he turned into violent, superstrong killing monster.
You play as ninja called- Ken Ogawa and you're a member of already mentioned organisation. The plot is getting more twisted, especially after first mission and the story is really, really interesting but that's enough spoilers.

I have heard about this game alot. Some people enjoyed playing it and some people did not. I've picked up a copy from a Gamestation for 25 pounds and honestly- it paid off. Played nearly 9 hours straight, nearly peeing myself i have to add. Long time i didn't experience such awesomness in a video game. Let me explain the basis of Ninja Blade to you:
- FIGHTING: Fighting is not as advanced like we can see in Ninja Gaiden 2 but that's not a minus. You get 3 weapons wich can be upgraded to a 5th level (using red shards dropped from enemies, pretty standard) increasing weapons damage, range and unlocking new combos. Also weapons look changes as well wich is pretty cool. But all of that is nothing new for this sort of a game.
Lets Play: Mass Effect (A Sheep among Shepards.)
Submitted by Minibossweed on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 10:29So here it is the first lets play of mass effect.
This video is just the first 15 minutes of game time from character creation to getting used to the controls. So bask in the glory of the character creation tools and admire the musical score but don't forget to Tune in next time for the rest of Eden prime and the beginning of this massive adventure.
Go Shepard go.I sure hope Jenkins grows a beard at one point.
now any ideas on where to put the stat points. Plan a little ahead as i don't intend to stop and ask every time i level up. 50-60 videos would be a bit to much.
Lets Play: Mass Effect (sorry for the taking up so much of the page.)
Submitted by Minibossweed on Tue, 04/28/2009 - 22:55Ok its time to start off our lets play section of the website.
The opening act this time is a much beloved title Mass effect. This entry is all pictures at the moment but once i get the embedding down the later Mass Effect articles will all be hosted videos.
So lets begin.
The characters past and play type i will leave to you and your comments. The class will be soldier and play will be from the PC version of Mass Effect using my wired 360 pad.

Ok first things first we need a gender and toto give the commander a first name.As well as what he/she did before joining the alliance military.

Now a psychological profile this affects the way some characters may treat you as well as some addition quest lines later in the game. Its not hugely important but feel free to pick one anyways.

Here we have a few Facial builds to show you how a face can be built with the sliders. This is not a finalized look so feel free to ask that i make the commander the ugliest SOB to ever walk on any planet.
I'm just gonna call this the greatest news ever. so much so that it needs its own blog entry. Its also going to have co-op play probably making this game of any year its released. This year or next i'm waiting for you DR2.
