My brain is a random fluctuation of neverending thoughts that lack any definate purpose; my friends may have noticed this sometimes when I talk. Imagine then, the things that I do not speak!

Relax, they aren't that bad - I deliberately say / do the worst things simply for comical value. In fact the stuff that swirls around in my head might as well dribble out of my left ear the're of so little value (apart from my primary motor functions and things like that). This is why they never get voiced or written here...
However a random question popped into my head the other day and I thought it should be shared with the interwebs. Before writing I checked online to see if it been done before ...
ARRRRGHHHH
How annoying, if you didn't get that - yes it has, it has been the subject of many a forum which has resulted in major flame wars and bannings.
All I'll simply say is that great minds think alike and all that, in fact this is a question you may have all asked yourself and I hope you have an answer and are able to defend it with good reason. So what is that question ...
Who'd win in a deathmatch to the death (lol); Master Chief or Marcus Fenix?
And so is born my Hero Deathmatch feature... Let us compare the two candidates
- Master Chief - A faceless cybernetically enhanced supersoldier; sounds pretty hardcore doesn't it? And it is! After all Master Chief has a fusion-powered suit of armor and an energy sheild to help him kick ass. Master Chief also has the ability to teabag fallen foes, jump and flip tanks - things that Fenix can only dream of doing.
What have you done with your life? Have you ever accomplished a dream you set out for yourself. This here is the story of one mans dream.
Katawa Shoujo
Starting all the way back in 2007 a design was posted on a Image board with one simple wish behind it. I want to date a disabled person. Not one for moral standards but mindful of the risk's of pursuing these goals in real life a team formed to help this man. We shall make it a visual novel a storybook game they said and cried together with joy long into the night..
On a more serious note after 2 years of hard work the team has something to show for it. A download able version of the latest work is available from their website here.
http://katawashoujo.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
The main character suffers from arrhythmia meaning he has a crazy heart and is at risk of heart attacks.
This in turn sends him to a special school where he meets and interacts with other people with disability's. Heres the image that sparked the entire thing off.

on that note it seems to have quite a few fans already and is drawing in a lot of fan art.
The designs have changed and the team behind it has grown.I may have more if i can get over the feeling of shame to download it.

Lets Play: Mass Effect (A Sheep among Shepards.)
Submitted by Minibossweed on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 10:29So here it is the first lets play of mass effect.
This video is just the first 15 minutes of game time from character creation to getting used to the controls. So bask in the glory of the character creation tools and admire the musical score but don't forget to Tune in next time for the rest of Eden prime and the beginning of this massive adventure.
Go Shepard go.I sure hope Jenkins grows a beard at one point.
now any ideas on where to put the stat points. Plan a little ahead as i don't intend to stop and ask every time i level up. 50-60 videos would be a bit to much.
Lets Play: Mass Effect (sorry for the taking up so much of the page.)
Submitted by Minibossweed on Tue, 04/28/2009 - 22:55Ok its time to start off our lets play section of the website.
The opening act this time is a much beloved title Mass effect. This entry is all pictures at the moment but once i get the embedding down the later Mass Effect articles will all be hosted videos.
So lets begin.
The characters past and play type i will leave to you and your comments. The class will be soldier and play will be from the PC version of Mass Effect using my wired 360 pad.

Ok first things first we need a gender and toto give the commander a first name.As well as what he/she did before joining the alliance military.

Now a psychological profile this affects the way some characters may treat you as well as some addition quest lines later in the game. Its not hugely important but feel free to pick one anyways.

Here we have a few Facial builds to show you how a face can be built with the sliders. This is not a finalized look so feel free to ask that i make the commander the ugliest SOB to ever walk on any planet.
I'm just gonna call this the greatest news ever. so much so that it needs its own blog entry. Its also going to have co-op play probably making this game of any year its released. This year or next i'm waiting for you DR2.

In the name of Disappointment (or how i learned to love the world.)
Submitted by Minibossweed on Sat, 04/25/2009 - 03:59Disappointment were all familiar with the grunting sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach which is not quite the need to poop or indigestion. It lingers on and stick with you much like a child hell bent on ruining your day.
So here we have the 5 most recently Disappointing things.
5.The KIA
Perhaps the shock trailer of Mass Effect 2 showing up after confirming that we could transfer our original Mass Effect data and our commander Sheppard across kind of puts a damper on what it appears bioware has been trying to do. The idea that you will no longer play the much beloved created character from the first game brings back fond memories of Knights of the old republic 2.
This is bad because KOTOR2 was not as likable as its predecessor

Picture is fake and more likely a candidate for the Bam your gay article
4.Lego RockBand

Seriously

Is this what we the gamer who enjoys playing fake instruments because we are much to ham fisted, lazy and generally ashamed of our outward appearance? Is this what we have reduced the industry to? Yes and we should all be disappointed in ourselves.
3.Tales of Vesperia
Postulations on Posterity - or 'Why the Nazi Party aren't on MySpace'
Submitted by Mikethelad on Thu, 04/23/2009 - 17:35A blog entry and not a review? Yes, because some thoughts are worth preserving.
What drives us to blog? I found myself pondering this very question whilst perusing the ten-thousand odd journal entries which had accumulated in my deviaintart inbox seemingly overnight.
The internet is the ultimate democracy, and everyone has a voice. It was one of those times where one is made all too aware of the benefits of totalitarian regimes who ban formalization of thought, because lets be honest - most people are idiots.
I'm not afraid to count myself among this flawed majority, I too occasionally catch myself scratching my arse in public and believing stories in the Daily Mail. I am however aware of it.
And i most certainly don't feel the need to post a blog entry every time an event of even the most minute significance occurs within a thirty mile radius of me, and then type it up in an adolescant frenzy of oozing acne and uniformed opinion.
Convinced that despite all evidence to the contrary, an uncaring world cares. This is the freaking internet people. If you're blogging about those oh so complicated whiny troubles encountered in your high school with the cute girl who you just can't seem to talk to - i can guarantee that at least a third of the comments you receive on it will be from pedophiles and similar borderline animal rapists.
Blogging is effectively pissing into a sea, a sea of piss.
So why do it? And why is it always those with the most inane lives are so drawn to it?
Simply; it is fear of mortality. Not just of the flesh, but the thought and soul of yourself as a person.
Most people will, despite good intentions, lead dull lives - marry dull people, have dull kids and die of a very dull disease. A year later nobody will remember their names, a decade later it will be as if they'd never existed.
Ontologically, the cake is not a lie. A quick run down and review of Portal, from the Orange Box.
Submitted by Other_Alex on Fri, 04/17/2009 - 13:18Short and sweet, and with a replay value equal to that of sex, Portal is deliciously dark humoured, littered with cult icons and thouroughly enjoyable.
You can play it through from opening sequence to end credits in about 2 hours (1 and half if your awesome like myself) and this is plenty of time to get aquainted with the rakish individual that is, Portal. The cheeky libertine slut that it is.

The controls and concept, like all the best things are simple, fire orange portal, fire blue portal, direct hapless individual through the resulting rift in space and time. See? Simple. But, then add in all sorts of cheeky angles, polite soft voiced turrets that like nothing more than to carve their name in your face with bullets, buttons, whizzing balls of electronic vaporisy doom, and a psychotic super computer that controls everything around you, and you have a satisfyingly meaty set of challenges on your hands.
The puzzles and challenges are well thought out, and some of the later ones are genuinly fucking difficult, which makes it all the more satisfying when you actually manage to accomplish them. The puzzles have a enough variation so as not to became stale and samey, and the amount of cheeky little tricks that you can do with the physics engine is glee enducingly vast. Though integral to the completion of the game, more often than not i found myself abusing the superb physics engine and catupulting myself across for no reason other than i could. And creating infinate loops in which you fall to your doom for ever and ever. five minutes is my current record.
