Disappointment were all familiar with the grunting sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach which is not quite the need to poop or indigestion. It lingers on and stick with you much like a child hell bent on ruining your day.


So here we have the 5 most recently Disappointing things.


5.The KIA

Perhaps the shock trailer of Mass Effect 2 showing up after confirming that we could transfer our original Mass Effect data and our commander Sheppard across kind of puts a damper on what it appears bioware has been trying to do. The idea that you will no longer play the much beloved created character from the first game brings back fond memories of Knights of the old republic 2.


This is bad because KOTOR2 was not as likable as its predecessor

4.Lego RockBand



Seriously


Is this what we the gamer who enjoys playing fake instruments because we are much to ham fisted, lazy and generally ashamed of our outward appearance? Is this what we have reduced the industry to? Yes and we should all be disappointed in ourselves.


3.Tales of Vesperia


Come on Namco stop sitting on your goddamn hands and release this here already. It does not take a year plus to translate a game. This is more of a personal grievance than a huge disappointment like the previous two since i generally feel like this is going to affect only me But Dammit i still want this to come out. Heck I am sure the Japanese market will have their playstation3 version released(it did not sell like it should have over there because of japans huge xenophobia.) before it hits european shores in any format.


2.My 360


I guess there was no avoiding it considering how much use it gets But its still disappointing when i finally get a game i really want to play to death it breaks.


1.Xblades


There is no logical way to describe the utmost failings that is this game. On paper it sounds like a good idea ticking as many boxes as it thinks it can get away with much like a trained chimp rushing its way through a multiple answer sheet however. It gets them all horribly Wrong.


Lets start with the beginning shall we. You play ayumi a reasonably anime based lass who seems to have a dislike for anything that cant be mistaken for flesh coloured skin. Shes on a hunt for treasure using a combat and exploration system similar to devil may cry or god of war. However unlike either of the previous examples there is never any feeling of weight to anything that gets done.


Weaponry might as well be paper as everything in your arsenal either seems to cut through everything like butter with no resistant feeling whatsoever. She slides around the linear levels like a Muppet on speed and jumps with a delay. Thankfully there seems to be no major platforming ahead or at least as far as i got.


So with a combat system with no substance and movement scheme with no real control were set into the world. Where all we do is fight And fight..And fight. I am sure of a plot in there somewhere but i cant be bothered to delve through another slog of it. Not that i could cause if you check my previous disappointment i cant. So if you can finish this game I salute you for either being stubborn as hell or poor of taste its something unique you should be proud of.


Im pretty sure this game broke my 360 too.
